Why pre-expansion precision matters
Pre-expansion prepares EPS beads before aging and molding. For production planning, repeatable density preparation is an important process target because it supports more consistent downstream material preparation.
Published ALESSIO target: the original PEV page states a foaming precision within ±0.3 g/L. This page preserves that stated target without extending it to conditions not provided in the original material.
Integrating pre-expansion into an automated factory
The pre-expander can be considered as the first major process stage in a wider EPS production system, followed by aging/material storage, molding and downstream handling.
